270 Ashton Plantation Blvd. Our express mission is to encourage our residents’ own unique balance of independence and to provide them with the greatest level of assistance possible. Our Ashton Manor community has three distinctive “neighborhoods” occupied by residents with shared abilities. Private one bedroom apartments in each neighborhood are available.
Support is provided based on the particular needs of each resident. Our residents who require minimal assistance with day-to-day life can enjoy a feeling of independence akin to living at home, but without the chores of managing a household. Residents with memory impairment are provided higher levels of care and security, with individualized programs that enrich their lives and enable them to function at the highest possible level.
Our number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of our Ashton Manor residents.
"Several times each day, we answer the question, 'Is this in the best interest of each of our residents?' If the answer is yes, then we can't go wrong. This simple operating philosophy is the secret to our continued success." —David Schonberg
South Louisiana native David Schonberg started his career in the senior retirement industry shortly after earning his MBA and MHA from Tulane University. He broke ground on his first Assisted Living Community, The Suites at Sugar Mill Point in Houma, Louisiana, in January 2001, and went on to develop Alden Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and acquire ownership of three South Carolina Assisted Living and Elder Care communities, which now proudly bear the Schonberg name and distinction. David's "neighborhood" living concept, which offers incremental levels of care depending upon individual resident needs, represents the highest standards of care in the industry.
"The way I judge the success of a community like Ashton Manor is by asking myself this simple question: If that resident were my mother or father, would I feel that their every need and happiness were being met everyday?"
